Inspiring change: Hatch celebrates International Day of Women and Girls in Science

February 11, 2024
International Day of Women and Girls in Science

International Day of Women and Girls in Science (IDWGS) is celebrated globally to promote the participation of women in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields.

We recognize the challenges facing our professions, and the barriers to women participating in this meaningful work. As a project and construction management, engineering, and professional services firm, we have a responsibility to promote and encourage more diversity within the STEM fields.

Across the globe, we work with industry organizations and academia to encourage and cultivate a robust pipeline for increased female representation. In honor of IDWGS, we are shining a spotlight on some of those impactful organizations whose work is changing the face of STEM.

“As a proud member of AWMI, I believe in the transformative power when industry unites to advance common goals. Together, we forge paths of equality, breaking through barriers in the metal industry and shaping a future where more women can find success in this fulfilling work,” shared Marissa McMurray, regional communications manager, USA, Hatch and international marketing chair, AWMI
