Units 3 & 4 restart

years on site

  • Units 3–8 need major components replaced to extend unit life by 30 years
  • This is a follow-on to assignment which began in the early 2000s to return Units 1-4 to service after laying dormant for nearly a decade
  • The current major component replacement program requires improved site infrastructure
  • Acquisition of skilled labor is a challenge for the new program, which is happening concurrently with Ontario Power Generation's Darlington refurbishment program

  • Provided engineering and construction services for the upgrade of Units 1, 2, 3, and 4
  • Main contractor for the Units 3 & 4 restart
  • Currently helping Bruce Power prepare for the major components replacement project

  • Winner, Schreyer Award, Canada's highest honor for consulting engineering, for the Units 3 & 4 restart
  • Winner, Project of the Year Award, Power Engineering magazine, for the Units 3& 4 restart
