Jean-François Boulet receives the Honoris Genius – Mentorship award from the OIQ

Montréal, June 15, 2026 – Hatch is proud to announce that Jean-François Boulet, Global Director, Simulation, has been awarded the prestigious Honoris Genius – Mentorship award by the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) in recognition of his outstanding commitment to the next generation of engineers.

This distinction is awarded to engineers who embody excellence and actively promote knowledge sharing. It highlights the lasting impact of individuals who, day after day, inspire up-and-coming engineering professionals.

A mentor who shapes careers

For more than thirteen years, Jean-François has been actively involved in training and mentoring emerging engineers, notably as a lecturer at the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) in Montréal, Québec. Deeply committed to knowledge transfer and strengthening ties between industry and academia, he has also encouraged members of his professional network to teach, including two colleagues at Hatch who have since become lecturers.

But his role extends far beyond teaching. Jean-François plays a key role in the development of many young professionals, supporting them on their path toward professional engineering licensure. His deeply human approach—rooted in listening, trust, and reflection—enables him to build lasting relationships with his mentees that extend beyond formal frameworks.
