Toronto, Ontario, Canada - For 56 years, our “H.G. Acres symposium” has brought together industry leaders, innovators, and decision-makers to discuss the most pressing challenges and opportunities in the energy industry. This year’s theme, “Championing grid resilience,” continued that legacy, fostering insightful discussions about the future of power transmission, distribution, and energy storage, and how to build a more reliable, adaptive, and sustainable power grid for the future.

Kicking off with a keynote by Shaz Merwat, energy policy lead at RBC, who highlighted the implication of geopolitical regulations, economic transitions, and growing energy demands that will shape the energy infrastructure. From data science and risk analysis to transmission solutions and battery energy storage, the event explored critical factors influencing grid resilience in an evolving energy landscape. Key topics discussed included:

  • HVDC & FACTS devices, and energy storage in expert-led seminars
  • Critical power system studies for competitive transmission solutions
  • The road to roadmaps for modernized grids
  • The geological landscape and its impact on the power sector in Canada, and more!

Hatch continues to be at the forefront of pioneering innovative solutions in the energy sector. From enhancing energy efficiency to developing robust power systems, our commitment to a sustainable future and resilient energy infrastructure remains unwavering.

Powering positive change continues to be a cornerstone event for professionals looking to stay ahead of industry trends, collaborate with peers, and contribute to meaningful changes in the industry. As we reflect on this year’s discussions, we look forward to continued partnerships and innovations that will drive a more resilient and sustainable energy future.
