The Keeyask Generation Station final design project wins ACEC Manitoba Award of Excellence and the 2025 Keystone Award
This transformative collaboration between Manitoba Hydro and four Manitoba First Nations—Tataskweyak Cree Nation, War Lake First Nation, York Factory First Nation, and Fox Lake Cree Nation— successfully delivers 695 MW of hydroelectric energy, addressing critical community needs and supporting the province's energy demands. Constructed within the ancestral homeland of all four partner First Nations, it is Manitoba’s fourth largest generating station with a planned 4,400 GWh of energy produced annually.
Hatch has been a key player in this project for more than 25 years, offering expertise in planning, design, project management, procurement planning, construction supervision, and commissioning assistance.

In addition to the Award of Excellence, the project also won the prestigious Keystone Award, which is presented to the firm that achieves the highest score of all projects and is deemed the best overall project.

- 2018 Award of Excellence - ACEC Manitoba (for Column Extender Design)

- 2014 Award of Excellence – ACEC Manitoba (for Planning system studies)
