Hatch recognized as one of Canada’s Greenest Employers for third consecutive yearToronto, Canada—For the third consecutive year, Hatch has been named one of Canada’s Greenest Employers by the editors of the Canada's Top 100 Employers project at Mediacorp Canada Inc.

Canada’s Greenest Employers recognizes employers that lead the nation in creating a culture of environmental awareness. Winning employers are evaluated using four main criteria: (1) the unique environmental initiatives or programs they have developed; (2) whether they have been successful in reducing their own environmental footprint; (3) whether their employees are involved in these programs and contribute any unique skills; and (4) whether their environmental initiatives have become linked to the employer’s public identity, attracting new employees and customers. “At Hatch, we view the environment as something of value meant to be entrusted to future generations. Together with our clients, we are driven to ensure that projects are delivered with minimal impact to the environment and the communities in which we work,” says Harry Kim, managing director, Environmental Services Group at Hatch. “Environmental protection is a fundamental way of business at Hatch. Every employee has a role in ensuring that our activities are consistent with sound environmental management and principles of sustainable development. Maintaining the operation of our facilities in a safe, environmentally, and socially responsible manner while providing innovation in our project delivery approach, sets us apart.”

Hatch’s commitment to sustainability in their own operations includes a carpooling program with financial incentives, elimination of plastic water bottles in corporate-owned offices, electric vehicle charging stations, and indoor bicycle lockers to promote employees biking to work, among others.
