Winston Simmonds

Winston Simmonds is the Managing Regional Director, leading Hatch’s U.S. business. He brings more than 30 years of progressive experience in project delivery, engineering, and construction management, and is a proven leader with a strong record of successfully delivering large, complex infrastructure projects. Previously, he served as the U.S. Lead for Hatch’s Infrastructure and Transit businesses, where he played a key role in driving growth, strengthening client relationships, and advancing major programs, alternative delivery across the country. Prior to joining Hatch, Winston held public sector leadership position with the Toronto Transit Commission, Sound Transit, and the Pittsburgh Regional Transit. Winston offers an ideal blend of senior-level construction and transit experience to deliver the MATOC Design Services.




Christian Reitter

Christian (Chris) Reitter, PE

Managing Director, Transit, USA - East


Chris has nearly 40 years of experience in the transit industry and has unparalleled experience in systems engineering for commuter rail, light rail, and streetcar projects. As Hatch’s Managing Director, Transit, USA – East, he provides centralized program accountability for our clients. Chris brings to his clients extensive experience in project and resource management, systems integration, design, and design review and testing for multiple light rail and commuter rail projects in various stages of design, construction, and testing, with many of the projects running concurrently ranging from conceptual engineering to integration testing and startup.




Megan Fernandes

Megan Fernandes, P.Eng.

Megan has 25 years of experience in the transportation and transit consulting industry and has been involved and led major transit projects at all stages from planning to commissioning. She is a knowledgeable and professional manager with broad experience in preliminary and final design, procurement support and construction phases for projects in transit facilities, heavy and light rail, light rail extensions, functional planning, transit corridor studies, and transportation planning studies. She also brings knowledge in traffic signals including micro-simulation, pedestrian and cyclist circulation, research and policy studies.
