AusIMM Mine Ventilation

August 26-28, 2019
Crowne Perth
Perth, Western Australia, Australia

Ventilation controls are now recognised as one of the core risk activities in mines requiring the appointment of statutory ventilation officers in both coal and metalliferous mining sectors. With re-emergence of pneumoconiosis in mine workers, this conference is important for key players to be involved.

The AusIMM Mine Ventilation conference program will examine metal and coal mine ventilation planning and design, mine fires and explosions, mine heat and refrigeration, and case studies.

Chris McGuire, ventilation engineer, and Wendy Harris, gas handling and ventilation specialist, will facilitate a session (Making the most of the emerging electrified underground mining) as part of the Ventilation Economics workshop on 25 August from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. AWST

Wendy Harris will chair a technical session discussing Heat and Refrigeration held on 26 August at 4:05 p.m. to 5:25 p.m. AWST.

Chris McGuire will also present his paper on ‘Psychometric evaluation of workplace impacts upon change to battery mobile equipment from diesel’ on 27 August from 8:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. AWST.
