Markus Rebmann

Markus Rebmann brings more than 25 years of leadership experience advising organizations on strategy, performance improvement, and complex capital decisions in his role as Hatch’s global managing director, consulting practices.

After a decade as a partner at McKinsey & Company, Markus joined Hatch in 2016 as managing director of Advisory and later became a member of Hatch’s board of directors. Today, he leads Hatch’s consulting practices across Advisory, Environment, People, and Place, and CORE (Commissioning, Operations Readiness, and Ramp-up Excellence), guiding a global team of 650 professionals and helping clients navigate growth, transformation, and investment decisions with confidence.

Markus began his career in 1995 with the Swiss Armed Forces engineering corps while completing his master’s degree in civil engineering at ETH Zürich in Switzerland. After retiring from service as a Captain, he moved to Canada and worked as a process engineer and production supervisor for Holcim Canada.

At McKinsey, Markus led major operations improvement, capital excellence, and strategy engagements and built deep experience advising clients on complex business and capital decisions. At Hatch, Markus has helped expand the firm’s consulting offer by bringing together strategic insight with deep technical and operational expertise.

Markus holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and is an active member of the Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects (Schweizerischer Ingenieur- und Architektenverein SIA). He speaks fluent English and German, and has advanced and conversational ability in French and Italian, respectively.

Outside of work, Markus enjoys skiing and snowboarding and spending time with his three children, Emma, Thomas, and Lukas.
