Anna is a mechanical engineering lead based in our Katowice, Poland office.

Anna is a strong leader who creates an inclusive and appreciative work environment. She values diversity and approaches situations with a positive attitude, recognizing each person's unique contributions. Her colleagues describe her as a role model who supports the growth of others through mentorship and training.

Anna was one of the recipients of the 2025 Positive Change Awards, a program to recognize employees who contribute to building Hatch’s inclusive organization, who exemplify the values of our Manifesto, and who actively work towards strengthening our diverse teams.

Why do you believe in diversity and inclusion?

I believe in diversity and inclusion because it has allowed us to break free from our biases. We often assign people the same roles based on their age, gender, or other factors, which prevents us from discovering their true potential. When you receive a new, challenging task, it is important that you have the chance to improve your skills. Embracing diversity and inclusion helps us see beyond these stereotypes and appreciate the unique inputs each person can make.

What do you think we need to do as individuals to improve inclusivity?

To improve inclusivity, we need to listen and keep an open mind. It's important not to judge others or view them solely through the lens of our own experiences. We should believe that everyone approaches situations with a positive attitude and by doing so, we can create a more welcoming and inclusive environment for all.

What does positive change mean to you?

For me, positive change means striving to be better every day. Happy people are those who set goals for themselves and work towards achieving them. By continuously improving and reaching our objectives, we can create a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

What do you think are the toughest challenges facing our clients?

In my opinion, our clients face significant challenges due to the overwhelming number of new issues arising from geopolitical, economic, and environmental situations. The success of a project depends on many factors, and at Hatch, our role is to assist clients in navigating this process, ensuring they feel supported and that they can rely on us. My goal is for our clients to have such confidence in our work that when they encounter a task requiring support, they immediately pick up the phone and contact us.

What are you most proud of?

I am most proud of my team. Hatch gave me the unique opportunity to build a team from scratch, with the support of my supervisors. I had the privilege of shaping both the recruitment process and our organizational culture. At our Katowice office, we've been growing Hatch from the very first employee, and having to navigate numerous challenges independently made mutual support crucial. It feels like I've been assembling a team of superheroes, armed not with capes, but with keyboards and emails.

What do you like most about working at Hatch? How do you think the Hatch culture is different from other companies?

What I like most about working at Hatch is the people. From day one, I felt a strong sense of belonging and empowerment. My colleagues and I share a common goal, which creates a collaborative and supportive environment. During the recruitment process, I was introduced to the Hatch manifesto, and its principles resonated deeply with me, reinforcing my belief that Hatch is the right place for me.
