The “Managing the risks – the legal and consultants’ perspectives” panel discussion focused on climate change and carbon reduction and top issues affecting Glasgow and Montreal.
The event summarized the key practical challenges of becoming carbon-neutral and what this means for policymakers and planning departments, sustainable infrastructure (energy, utilities, transportation, and real estate), accessing capital markets on the best terms (equity and debt), attracting institutional and retail investors, and contracting and managing risks. The panel was organized by the Canada-UK Chamber of Commerce (CUKCC) and the Scottish North America Business Council (SNABC).
