Abstract

A case study is presented in this webinar showing how simulation software can be used to predict and model the silo quaking / pulsation phenomenon. This was simulated successfully using DEM flow modelling.

A two-way coupling – Dynamic Structural analysis was completed using EDEM and MotionSolve; predicting similar behaviour as observed on site. This new capability allows the CoE to model complex dynamic problems with greater levels of accuracy and insights with fewer assumptions through the use of coupling.
