Abstract

The paper discusses the effects of material properties change on refractory thickness predictions by incorporating the insights from operating conditions, compositions of ore material, thermal calculations, as well as, the stress wave response calculations. It also provides a practical solution that accounts for the changing refractory properties and allows for more precise refractory lining thickness calculation.
