Reconciliation Australia endorses Hatch's two-year Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan
The endorsement marks an important step in Hatch's reconciliation journey, advancing practical action, accountability, and stronger partnerships with First Nations communities.
As part of our National Reconciliation Week celebrations, we are proud to announce Reconciliation Australia's endorsement of Hatch's 2026-2028 Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), marking an important milestone in our reconciliation journey in Australia.
Building on the foundations established through Hatch's Reflect RAP, the Innovate RAP outlines practical actions to strengthen relationships with First Nations peoples and communities across Australia, while embedding reconciliation more consistently across the organization.
This next phase of reconciliation work is supported by ongoing partnerships and initiatives, including collaborations with Indigenous Women in Mining and Resources Australia (IWIMRA) and Engineering Aid Australia.
Developed with input from leadership, employees, First Nations advisors, and the RAP Working Group, the plan details how reconciliation will be reflected more consistently in day-to-day operations, partnerships, and decision-making at Hatch.
Through this plan, Hatch will focus on three core priorities:
- Building stronger relationships with First Nations communities
- Creating culturally safe and inclusive workplaces
- Expanding employment, procurement, and partnership opportunities.
“Reconciliation requires ongoing listening and learning, and a commitment to take action. Our Innovate RAP sets out the practical steps we will take to strengthen relationships and improve accountability to embed reconciliation more fully within our business,” said Claude D’Cruz, regional managing director, Australia-Asia.
The Innovate RAP outlines specific actions to:
- Increase First Nations employment and career pathways
- Strengthen supplier diversity and support Indigenous businesses
- Embed reconciliation into projects and community engagement
- Promote cultural learning and awareness across all levels of the organization
The two-year Innovate RAP outlines the commitments that will guide Hatch's next phase of reconciliation work in Australia. Through these actions, Hatch aims to strengthen relationships, expand opportunities, and embed reconciliation more consistently across its operations and client work.
