Hatch wins 2026 King’s Award for Enterprise for outstanding achievement in international trade
London, UK — Hatch, a global engineering, project delivery, and professional services firm with operations in the UK for more than 35 years, has received a 2026 King’s Award for Enterprise in the international trade category.
Now in its 60th year, the King’s Awards for Enterprise are the UK’s most prestigious business honours. Hatch joins a select group of 185 organisations recognised in 2026 following a rigorous assessment process led by independent experts, industry leaders, and senior officials. The award commends Hatch’s sustained success in international markets and the strength of its UK-based operations in supporting clients worldwide.
“Receiving a King’s Award reflects the trust our clients place in us and the dedication of our teams around the world,” says John Bianchini, chair and CEO, Hatch. “We solve complex challenges with integrity, technical excellence, and a long-term view that continues to earn us confidence across global markets.”
A growing UK and European footprint
Hatch began operations in the UK in 1989, initially supporting global natural resources clients with UK-based headquarters. In recent years, the firm has expanded its presence and full-service offering across the UK and Europe, strengthening capabilities in metals, energy, infrastructure, and advisory services.
Today, Hatch supports a broad range of projects from green steel and battery metals technologies to rail, ports and terminals, transit, offshore energy, and community-scale infrastructure planning. It also works closely with public-sector clients, including UK government departments, devolved administrations, local authorities, and industry partners.
“We’re proud to receive the King’s Award for Enterprise in international trade,” says Randy Broderick, regional managing director, Europe. “Our European teams play a key role in connecting regional insights with global capability. This recognition highlights how that combination helps clients deliver complex projects with confidence in a rapidly changing environment.”
Global strength, local expertise
Hatch’s UK specialists draw on the support of a global network of more than 11,000 professionals, enabling teams to bring world-class expertise to projects at every stage, from early strategy and advisory through delivery and operation.
“We’ve worked from the UK for decades, supporting clients across international markets, often behind the scenes. More recently, we’ve deepened our work here at home, partnering with governments, industry, and communities to deliver positive change,” says Jonathan Lee, regional director, UK. “Winning the King’s Award is a proud moment for our UK team and a strong endorsement of how we work.”
“We are employee-owned and deliberately flat as an organisation,” adds Lee. “Our corporate structure fosters an entrepreneurial culture where people have the freedom to pursue the right solutions for clients. It’s how we stay current, innovative, and effective in a changing world.”
