Hatch supports the next generation of rail mobility professionals through the CMAI scholarship program
Montreal, Quebec – Hatch is proud to support the next generation of engineering and rail mobility professionals by participating in the Canadian Mobility and Aerospace Institute (CMAI) scholarship program, an initiative that aims to encourage and support emerging talent in a sector that is strategic for the future of mobility.
Following a day of interviews organized by CMAI, the Hatch scholarship was awarded to Fabienne Laliberté, a graduating civil engineering student at Polytechnique Montréal.
The official handover took place on February 6, 2026, at 4 p.m. at the Centre Sheraton Montreal, attended by representatives from Hatch and CMAI.
In addition to providing her with financial support, this scholarship could give Fabienne Laliberté the opportunity to complete an internship at Hatch, allowing her to develop her professional skills in a practical setting while discovering the work environment of an organization known for its commitment to its employees.
Hatch has been recognized several times as one of Canada’s Top Employers (including Top Employer for Young People), with a culture focused on talent development and mentoring.
Through participation in the CMAI scholarship program, Hatch aims to actively contribute to the professional integration of young graduates and to support the training of the next generation in the railway sector. The company reaffirms its commitment to skills development, academic excellence, and bringing academia and industry closer together.
“Supporting the next generation of railway engineers is essential to advancing the safe, sustainable, and innovative railway systems our communities depend on. We are proud to recognize Fabienne Laliberté’s dedication and talent, and we believe her contributions will help shape the future of railway transportation. Investing in emerging leaders is one of the most meaningful ways to strengthen our industry for years to come,” said Peter Druinker, Regional Manager, Railway Infrastructure, Eastern Canada.
Hatch is proud to partner with CMAI and is committed to pursuing initiatives that support both the professional development of future engineers and the evolution of the mobility industry.
