Hatch wins Large Consultancy of the Year at PIA (WA) Awards for Planning Excellence

Perth, Australia – Hatch has been named Large Consultancy of the Year at the 2025 Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) Awards for Planning Excellence in Western Australia. The award celebrates Hatch’s ability to deliver visionary, yet practical solutions that create vibrant, sustainable communities. Judges commended Hatch for its integrated approach, combining planning, urban design, economics, infrastructure, and engagement to achieve outcomes that are both technically robust and deeply connected to community needs. 

The Award recognized Hatch’s proprietary tools and methods, including the Great Places Process™, the Urban3 model, and collaborative engagement through Place Design Fora (PDFs) which are used to unlock economic potential, foster inclusivity, and deliver long-term value. 

Hatch was also acknowledged for its commitment beyond projects. This includes its Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), through which Hatch actively supports respectful engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, promotes Indigenous-owned businesses, and embeds cultural awareness across its workforce.
