Hatch drives high-speed rail with Amtrak

Hatch is proud to have supported Amtrak in launching its NextGen Acela fleet, ushering in a new era of high-speed rail along the Northeast Corridor. Designed for speeds up to 160 mph, these state-of-the-art trains offer passengers an elevated travel experience through major cities between Boston, MA, and Washington, DC. 

Hatch, building on its deep experience from the original Acela program, provided comprehensive oversight throughout the procurement process. This included the development of technical specifications, conducting design reviews, performing resident inspections, providing project management, and ensuring full compliance with Federal Railroad Administration regulations.

Additionally, Hatch collaborated closely with Amtrak on operational planning to ensure safety was rigorously assessed and integrated throughout the project, from computer modeling to on-track testing.
