OTTAWA, ON— Hatch, a global engineering, project delivery, and professional services firm, is proud to announce that Chairman and CEO John Bianchini has been inducted as a Fellow by the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC). The prestigious induction took place at a gala event held in Ottawa on Saturday, April 20.

Established in 1887, the Engineering Institute of Canada is a federation of technical societies representing over 30,000 Canadian engineers and engineering students. The EIC aims to promote the advancement of engineering knowledge, practice, and education in Canada.

John Bianchini has been an integral part of Hatch's leadership team for many years. He assumed the role of CEO in 2012 and was appointed Chairman in 2017. John has enjoyed a plus 30-year engineering career with Hatch where he has excelled in leadership roles that combine technical, project, and management positions. He is an accomplished process engineer, a seasoned project manager, and an experienced global business leader. He has applied his skill and effort to expand the scope and volume of Hatch’s business throughout the world, playing important roles in Hatch's growth, especially in the expansion of the business in Africa, Australia, South America, and in China. As chairman and CEO, John represents a team of more than 10,000 employees located in 65 offices, with capital projects under management totaling more than $75 billion dollars.

John’s induction as an EIC Fellow is a testament to his exceptional contributions to the engineering profession. This prestigious honor recognizes his outstanding leadership, technical expertise, and dedication to advancing the field of engineering in Canada and beyond.
