New York, USA—Hatch LTK has been named Employer of the Year by WTS International’s Greater New York Chapter. Hatch managing director of infrastructure for the USA region, Dominic DiBrito, accepted the award on behalf of Hatch LTK at the chapter’s 41st Annual Meeting.

WTS International is an organization that attracts, sustains, connects, and advances women’s careers to strengthen the transportation industry. Their Greater New York Chapter’s annual Employer of the Year award goes to an organization that has enhanced the transportation industry through its support of WTS, its commitment to excellence and quality in its services or products, demonstration of an outstanding record of affirmative action in hiring and promotions, and that provides internships to women students and supports continuing education of its employees.

Among the reasons for Hatch LTK’s recognition is our focus on the advancement of women through formal career development, mentorship, and sponsorship programs, our commitment to continuing education through tuition reimbursement and financially supporting programs/coursework for employees, including a FE/PE Program where we encourage engineers to obtain their FE/PE licenses, and our encouragement of women to enter the transportation field through scholarships and internships.

In her nomination of the company, Hatch LTK senior analyst, Lisa Santoro, noted, “Hatch LTK is committed to diversity and inclusive hiring, as evidenced by the fabric and make-up of the Brooklyn office, which is comprised of several female and minority project managers, engineers and analysts. Working in NYC, it is important to have a diverse and talented workforce that matches the demographics of our clientele. Year after year, Hatch LTK commits dollars, resources, time and energy to support worthwhile efforts to further advance women and minorities in this industry.”

Hatch LTK vice president for the New York Region, Julie Green, said “We are very proud to receive this award. As a woman who works in rail vehicle and rail systems engineering, I have always been able to turn to my colleagues within the company for encouragement and support. Hatch LTK provides an environment that enables women to succeed at all levels.”
