Bruce Power, Hatch, partner for the long-term

Toronto (ON) July 11, 2017 —Hatch, the Ontario-headquartered global engineering firm, and Bruce Power, supplier of 30 per cent of Ontario’s electricity at 30% less than the average cost to generate residential power, today announced that they have entered into a long-term service agreement. Hatch will be providing professional services to support its continuing operations and life-extension program, giving the Bruce County-based company access to Hatch’s global engineering expertise, state-of-the-art technologies, and innovation-creating partnerships.

The two organizations have enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship for the better part of two decades. Hatch opened an office in Port Elgin in July 2016, moving staff up to the region and hiring locally. It currently supports Bruce Power’s steam generator replacement project, feeder program, Protected Area Office Complex, Decontamination Facility, and other major component-replacement infrastructure projects.
