This year’s event will showcase the mines at the forefront of the transition to sustainable, affordable, and reliable power through in-depth case studies and interactive panel discussions. It will also provide mining and energy attendees with updates on key topics including hybrid power developments, variable mining, hydrogen for mines, financing mining corporate power purchase agreements, and decarbonizing mine fleets.

Michel Carreau, Hatch’s director of Hybrid Power and Microgrid will chair the “Variable Mining – Placing Energy at the Center of Mine Design” session on December 2 at 4:20 p.m. This panel will focus on how mines are adapting and are now considering new design processes to optimize the potential for using renewable energy and storage to power new operations and processing facilities.
