Our own experts, Kyle Boynton and Mark Berkley, will be presenting their paper titled “Geothermal Energy in Mining – A Renewable and Reliable Energy Solution” at the Geothermal Resource Council 42nd Annual Meeting and Expo in Reno, Nevada on Wednesday October 17th at 2:40 pm.

The paper presents the the business case for utilizing geothermal potential to support mining operations with available and favorable geothermal conditions. Although the role geothermal plays in the utilities sector is well understood, the potential in mining has remained underdeveloped.

Please join Kyle and Mark as they provide an overview of mining operations and favorable geologies, as well as geothermal technologies and applications, similarities within the mining industry requirements and processes, and specific case studies for the application of geothermal heat and power in mining.
