Hatch is a proud presenter at the First International Conference on Underground Mining Technology (UMT 2017) held at the Radisson Hotel Sudbury in Sudbury, Canada.
Hosted by the Australian Centre for Geomechanics and Associate Professor Marty Hudyma, this inaugural event will provide opportunities for underground mining practitioners to explore the latest mining technologies and methodologies which will drive industry into the future. The program highlights the ongoing research and innovations in underground mining technologies that continually assist operations to significantly improve their productivity, cost efficiency and, most importantly, their health and safety records, whilst reducing environmental impact.
Hatch will be represented by the following professionals:
- Katrina Macdonald and Darryl Witow will present Environmental discharge criteria and dispersion estimation for mine ventilation exhaust stacks on Thursday, October 12 at 8:30 a.m. EST.
- Alex Turichshev will present Estimation of fill strength requirements using bonded particle modelling for mining under cemented rockfill on Friday, October 13 at 9:00 a.m. EST.
