Hatch raises C$247,413 for United Way in Québec
Hatch employees in our offices throughout Québec, Canada, have come together to support the Centraide "Act Here with Heart" campaign, surpassing last year’s record fundraising of C$191,000 and raising C$247,413!
Centraide, known as United Way throughout Canada, has a mission to combat poverty and social exclusion and make Québec a fairer, more inclusive, and more equitable place for everybody. Centraide works with more than 1,500 community agencies that welcome people in need. The pandemic has exacerbated inequalities and the most vulnerable people were the hardest hit, making the need for organizations like Centraide even more vitally important. Just last year, more than one million people in Québec received help from Centraide.
”The pandemic has been very difficult for many in our community and recognizing how lucky and privileged we are, we came together as a team to help those in need ,” shared Stephane Raymond, Hatch’s regional managing director for Eastern Canada, which includes Quebec. “I’m always impressed by the generosity of our colleagues and I’m particularly proud of our 66 ambassadors who supported this campaign by personally following up with Hatch employees, answering any questions they might have and helping the donation process. It’s a demonstration of the great people that we have at Hatch, people who strive every day to make a difference in the world.”
Again this year, the Hatch team acted with heart and demonstrated our Manifesto value of thinking globally, acting locally, by supporting the most vulnerable in our communities. Sixty-six volunteer ambassadors led the way, encouraging colleagues to participate in the many activities planned, and ultimately raising well above our goal.
