Donation to support minerals collection

Our gift to the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is making several exciting new initiatives possible, enhancing the museum’s educational and outreach mandate. Among the initiatives we support at the ROM are several aspects of the Teck Suite, which houses major collections of minerals, metals, and gems, as well as the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame.

With our help, the ROM was able to acquire the Kirwin Collection. This transformative grouping of more than 20,000 ores and minerals was gathered by famed geologist Douglas Kirwin over a 40-year period.

Our contribution also supports a managing director position at the ROM Earth & Space and a university graduate and post-doctorate fund.
