The 5th European Steel Technology and Application Days (ESTAD) conference focuses on all technical aspects within the six main fields of steel technology, including ironmaking, steelmaking, rolling and forging, steel materials and their application, additive manufacturing and surface technologies, industry 4.0, and environment and energy.
We will be represented by professionals from our Technologies business practice, who will be presenting both in-person and via video.
- Afshin Sadri, Global Director of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) & Corrosion, will present two papers in person: Predicting Blast Furnace Reline Timing: Methods, Results, and Comparisons on August 31 at 10:50 a.m. CEST, and Blast Furnace Refractory Wear Trend Monitoring on September 2 at 10:30 a.m. CEST.
- These papers will also be presented via video recording by co-authors Winnie Ying and Mitchell Henstock, professionals on the NDT team.
- Bijan Shahriari, Product Manager, will present Development of the PyroLIBS Sensor: Direct and real-time measurement of molten material composition on September 1 at 3:20 p.m. CEST.
- Jayant Borana, CFD Analyst, Technologies – SEAD, will present (via video recording) Mathematical Model of Induration Furnaces for Optimization and Digitization Applications on August 31 at 9:30 a.m. CEST.
- Co-authors: C. Velikonja, J. Borana, O. Emuophedaro, U. Shah, M. Huerta, J. Bolen, J. Woloshyn, I. Gordon, and T. Plikas.
- Yakov Gordon, Technical Director – Ironmaking, will present Recent development in Ironmaking in Russia at 11:30 a.m. CEST and Strategy for sustaining, enhancement and cost reduction at severstal’s primary end at 2:00 p.m. CEST on August 31.
- Mitren Sukhram, Senior Process Engineer, will present Top Gas Recycling Revisited to Reduced Blast Furnace CO2 Emissions on September 1 at 3:40 p.m. CEST.
