Fred Cummings to lead Hatch Infrastructure Business in Western North America

Fred CummingsVANCOUVER, British Columbia — Hatch is pleased to announce that Fred Cummings will now lead the company’s infrastructure division in Western North America. 

“Fred brings impressive engineering and industry credentials, having been at the forefront of many of British Columbia’s most significant transit, highway, and water projects,” said Hatch CEO John Bianchini. “He will play a key leadership role in continuing to expand our infrastructure business, adding to the high-caliber talent of our growing infrastructure team.”

Based in Vancouver, Cummings will be responsible for business strategy and operations and for client and partner engagement. Cummings’ previous industry experience includes senior roles with TransLink where he was responsible for Infrastructure Management and Engineering, and as President and General Manager, BC Rapid Transit. He had responsibility for the $1-billion Golden Ears Bridge and was a Director for the Canada Line and Evergreen Line rapid transit projects.

Hatch has strengthened its position in the infrastructure sector by integrating Hatch Mott MacDonald’s (HMM) Canadian operations.  The move adds nearly 1,000 new engineers and infrastructure professionals to Hatch’s Canadian and U.S. offices.
