Canada's Top Employers for Young People

Mississauga, Canada—Hatch has once again been named as one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People as designated by Mediacorp, the publicizing company for national and special interest top-employer recognitions. The editorial competition recognizes employers offering the nation’s best workplaces and programs for young people starting their careers.

“In the competition for talent, a key variable for millennials and Gen-Z is the ability to connect their work with greater meaning—that’s where winners of this year’s competition excel,” says Kristina Leung, Senior Editor of the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project, which manages the competition.

In Hatch’s ongoing commitment to the development of tomorrow’s leaders, in 2017 it awarded more than $2 million through its global scholarship program, and welcomed more than 500 participants to its global student and new graduate program. The program offers on-the-job training, mentorship, networking events, and in-class education for engineering, leadership, and business skills.

“Our commitment to building the next generation of innovators and leaders is imperative for our future, which is why we seek different ways of inspiring innovation and fostering the entrepreneurial spirit of young people. Simply offering employment is no longer sufficient. This generation seeks opportunities to support broader social causes that make a difference, which connects well with our core values at Hatch. By investing in future generations, we will leave a positive legacy and ensure a bright future in our communities,” said John Bianchini, CEO.

Hatch credits its long and positive track record of attracting young talent on a few key ingredients:

  • the ability to work on interesting and challenging assignments that allow them to make a difference in our world;
  • access to smart, hard-working colleagues to work with and a collaborative, mentoring culture to learn from;
  • the opportunity to expand their horizons as global citizens by getting the opportunity to meet clients from around the world and work in different communities and societies; and
  • providing a clear and transparent vision of who we are and what we choose to be as an organization.

Hatch is passionately committed to the pursuit of a better world through positive change. Click here to see how Hatch was selected.
