Can mining make the world a greener place, will offer a forum for discussion and debate on mining and its role in society. Speakers with diverse professional and personal backgrounds including representatives from science, NGOs, stakeholders, industry and the museum sector will share their thoughts and open the opportunity for questions and ideas from the public.

Doris Hiam-Galvez, Director, Metals, is a panelist on the "Can mining be safe and sustainable?" session on December 3 at 8:00 am PST.
