The International Committee for Study of Bauxite, Alumina & Aluminium (ICSOBA) is an independent non-profit association that unites industry professionals representing major bauxite-, alumina-, and aluminium-producing companies, technology and equipment suppliers, universities, research institutes, and consultants from around the world.
The objectives of this year’s conference include reviewing the status and perspectives of the bauxite, alumina, and aluminium industries in the world in light of the COVID-19 pandemic; updating market aspects of bauxite, alumina, and aluminium, and their products; providing an opportunity to interact with international experts and representatives of worldwide aluminium industries in a virtual environment; and highlighting proposed greenfield and brownfield activities in the aluminium industry.
Hatch will be represented by André-Felipe Schneider, who will be presenting his paper “A Modernized ANSYS-Based Finite Element Model for the Thermal-Electrical Design of Aluminium Reduction Cells” at 8:40 am ET on Monday, November 16. André-Felipe and Stephan Broek are also part of the Technical Reviewers Committee for the Primary Aluminium Program.
