With an anticipated growth in demand for aluminium in light automotives, and efficiency pressures facing the bauxite and alumina industries, clients need smarter solutions to reduce costs yet increase production. And they need to do this, starting today.

At this year’s International Committee for Study of Bauxite, Alumina & Aluminium (ICSOBA) conference, three Hatch experts are digging into the details—presenting on smarter solutions to industry challenges.

On Tuesday, October 4, Phil Baker, our director of light metals, will present on a “Hot Top mould for casting aluminium t-bar,” at 10:30 a.m. You can also catch Daniel Reichelson, a process and refractory engineer, speaking to “Considerations for selecting an open top anode baking furnace relining strategy,” at 11:10 a.m.

On Wednesday, October 4, André Felipe Schneider, a senior engineer, will close off the Hatch presentations on “A bypass bridge design for the installation of additional cells in an operating potline,” at 1:30 p.m.
